What is Coaching with You Like?

  • Logistics

We spend one hour together (NOT a therapist’s hour, which is typically 45 minutes), either via phone or Zoom. 60 full minutes, just the two of us!

You bring yourself and your favorite beverage, and pick a distraction free place to chat with me.

  • Preparing

You fill out the survey that’s provided when you book your appointment, so I know what we’re working on during our session.

You provide the problem or concern, and we work together to find the solution or to manage the situation.

  • Framework

After a few pleasantries, I like to ask what’s brought you here, and talk about your survey. That gives us a great framework for our session.

We touch on what’s important to you, and go from there. We end each session with ways to manage whatever you’ve entered into our session with.

  • Coaching is Not Therapy

I don't diagnose or treat mental illnesses (for you OR for your coparent). What I DO do with you is meet you where you are right now, and help you move forward. Whether that’s help with boundaries, communication, talking to your kids, managing emotions… whatever you nee.

  • We'll cry, laugh, plan... whatever you need

Plenty of people cry. Lots of times end up laughing during the session. Sometimes we’re shocked by your co-parent’s behavior together. Sometimes we need to plan or find solutions…I’m here for alllllll of it!

  • There is no one way we do this

Sometimes you want a solid plan about “how this will look” and I understand that, BUT, I can’t give you a soiid plan until I know what you’re struggling with. Email me if you have questions!

  • After the Session

You get a smmary of ourwork together AND any handouts you’ll need to help you out. Handouts have been created by me for the specific situations that occur when you’re co-parenting with a high-conflict person.
